Call of Duty weapon cosmetics are no longer just about adding a fresh colour to a rifle. Players now expect a small performance when they inspect a blueprint, and the early Modern Warfare 4 concept built around a pump-action shotgun takes that idea in a clever direction. If you enjoy studying new loadout details between matches, MW4 Bot Lobbies discussions are already putting this unusual design in the spotlight.

A Coin With a Purpose

The animation starts with the operator pulling out a metal coin marked with a winged skull. It is not simply held up for show. The operator gives it a quick flip, catches it, then pushes it into a round opening on the shotgun receiver. That little action gives the inspection a sense of timing. You can imagine players replaying it several times, just to catch the details in the hand movement and the engraved surface.

What Happens Inside the Shotgun

Once the coin locks into place, the weapon changes in front of you. Panels slide aside, internal parts move, and the receiver opens enough to reveal a bright core beneath the outer shell. The glow spreads through the exposed mechanism rather than appearing as a simple surface effect. That distinction matters. The shotgun feels like a working machine with a hidden identity, not a regular weapon with a bright skin pasted over it.

Why This Concept Stands Out

Earlier premium blueprints in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone explored similar ideas. One arcade-themed design used its inspection to start a retro game sequence, while other weapons played music or altered their physical shape. The shotgun adds a more hands-on rhythm. Its appeal comes from the chain of actions, which can be viewed in this simple breakdown.

The operator reveals the engraved coin.
The coin is flipped and caught.
It is placed into the receiver slot.
The internal assembly opens and begins to glow.

That sequence gives the player something to watch for, instead of another quick tilt from left to right.

Where Weapon Inspections Could Go

This shotgun points towards a more personal style of customisation in Modern Warfare 4. Players want items that feel worth showing off, even during a quiet moment before the next round. A physical prop, a clear trigger, and a visible mechanical response make the animation easy to remember. If the wider blueprint lineup follows that approach, Bot Lobbies MW4 players may have plenty to discuss when these detailed inspections arrive.
